Silvio Berlusconi Buys 37 Diamond Rings For Politicians

During the festive season, people give various gifts to their loved ones. Some even buy diamond rings. Going one step further though, this Christmas the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi is buying 37 diamond rings for his female MPs.
The 74 year old has ordered specially made rings for his female politicians. These rings are made from three different bands which are made from pink, yellow and white gold. These rings also feature small diamonds. This design of the rings resembles the Italian ‘tricolour’. These specially designed rings will cost him around £1,193 a piece.
The Prime Minister will present the rings to 24 women MPs and other 13 senators from the upper house of his government. The rings have been designed by an Italian designer who is located in north Italy.
Besides the Italian tricolours, the tiny sparkling diamonds are the main attraction of these rings. By giving these diamond rings as Christmas gifts, Silvio Berlusconi has proved just how much he cares about his members of parliament.
It certainly will be a very merry Christmas for the lucky recipients of these beautiful pieces.
