How To Clean Your Diamond Ring

Everyday products like hair lotions, creams etc may leave residue on your diamond ring, leaving it looking lifeless and dull. The diamond’s brilliance and sparkle depends on its ability to refract light. If a diamond ring accumulates dirt then its beauty gets hidden underneath the grime. Diamond rings can either be cleaned at home or at a jewellery store. If you wish to clean your diamond ring at home, then follow the procedure below.
Requirements:
• A small bowl that is deep enough that the cleansing solution will cover the diamond ring to be cleaned.
• A bowl of luke warm water
• A gentle brush that will not scratch the metal setting of the diamond ring. For example a baby’s toothbrush.
• A clean and soft cloth
• A toothpick
Procedure:
Soak the diamond ring in a bowl filled with gentle cleaning solution for 15 minutes to loosen the dirt and weaken the build-up. Gently scrub the diamond ring with the soft toothbrush and rinse the ring in the lukewarm water kept in the other bowl. Follow this process until the diamond ring is properly cleaned. If there is debris built-up then use a toothpick to remove it. Give a final rinse to the diamond ring and place it in a soft clean cloth until it dries. You will be amazed to see the result. The diamond ring will recover its sparkling image.
To keep your diamond ring sparkling, do not wear it while applying hair products or hand creams.
