A Simple Love Of Diamonds

There are probably very few women who do not love the look and feel of diamonds in their ears and on their fingers. Although this love has been jeered at as gold digging and women who are only after a man for his money, this is only true of a minority of women. There are more women jewellery lovers who are not married to rich men than those who are – the love of diamonds is not restricted to one particular type of woman, or even to human beings for that matter.

Most women just love the look of a diamond and the way it sparkles and catches the light. Women just accept a diamond ring for what it is, the price is not significant to many women, either in monetary or human cost – women just like the look and feel of the jewellery.

This love of things that twinkle and glitter is not restricted to human beings; magpies are renowned for being attracted to anything that glitters. The male bird collects anything bright and shiny to attract the females. So the love of beautiful shiny things is not necessarily a love of money but the appreciation of beauty for its own sake.
